Call for CCDB Board Applications

 

CCDB Seeks Dynamic Leaders!

 

As a CCDB Board member, you have the unique opportunity to help lead CCDB and its efforts to strengthen member engagement and community, affirm CCDB’s role as a key advocate for criminal justice reform, and ensure the organization’s long-term sustainability.

CCDB seeks candidates who bring: 

  • Genuine commitment to CCDB and the drive to make a difference. 
  • Representation of the geographic diversity of Colorado, to help ensure CCDB supports all its members across the entire state. 
  • Other diversity factors including age, gender, race/ethnicity, LGBTQ, religion, areas of expertise, and points of view.

Board Application Timeline:

  • Application period: January-February 2026
  • Application deadline: February 28, 2026
  • Nomination Committee reviews candidates, creates election ballot: March 2026
  • Board election with voting by CCDB membership: April 2026
  • Notification of election results: May 2026
  • New board member orientation: June 2026
  • New board members start their term: June 2026

How to Apply & Deadline

Please complete the board application form and email it to Jeff Rupp, CCDB’s Executive Director, at jeff.rupp@ccdb.org. The application deadline is February 28, 2026.

Additional Information

Seven (7) board positions are open for election. Six of the open positions represent one each of CCDB’s six geographic sections, which are organized on the basis of Colorado’s judicial districts. Candidates should use their law office address to determine their section. 

  • Section 1: Judicial Districts 8, 13, 17, and 19
  • Section 2: Judicial Districts 3, 4, 10, 15, and 16
  • Section 3: Judicial Districts 6, 7, 12, 21, and 22
  • Section 4: Judicial Districts 5, 9, 11, 14, and 20
  • Section 5: Judicial District 2
  • Section 6: Judicial Districts 1, 18, and 23

The seventh open position is for an “Elected Associate” member, which includes paralegals, investigators, social workers, and other non-attorney members.

 

Candidates must maintain current CCDB membership to stand for election and serve on the Board. 

 

Candidates elected to the Board will serve a 2-year term that begins June 1, 2026. New board member orientation will be provided. 

 

Board member responsibilities and expectations include: 

  • Commitment and capacity to participate in six board meetings per year and actively contribute to committee work.
  • Participation with CCDB programs, events, and activities throughout the year.
  • Financial support of CCDB through membership, personal contributions, and help with fund development efforts.
  • And more.
